Faculty of Public Health Universitas Sumatera Utara Student Win Gold Medal at WSEEC

Medan - FKM USU: Faculty of Public Health Universitas Sumatera Utara undergraduate study program students received gold medals at the 4th  World Science Engineering and Environment Competition (WSEEC) held at Pancasila University Jakarta, 13-16 May 2024. This international-level competition was attended by 18 countries (India, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey, South Korea, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Puerto Rico, Iran, Egypt, Malaysia, the Philippines, Mexico, Turkmenistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia), with the organizer being the Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA). Faculty of Public  Health Universitas Sumatera Utara student team that took part in this competition consisted of undergraduate study program students, namely Sakdiah Hasibuan, Wulan Stefanni E.E Manurung, and Gilbert Lumbantoruan. The three of them collaborated with Psychology Universitas Sumatera Utara Undergraduate Study Program student Desman Hura to create a paper in the Social Science category titled Smart Doll: Behavioral Therapy to Increase Emotional Intelligence for Kids. The innovation they produced was in the form of dolls that depict the emotional levels of children aged 2 to 5 years. Deputy Dean I FKM USU Dr. Umi Salmah, SKM, M.Kes appreciated this achievement and hopes that students will continue to improve their achievements at the international level. "The faculty supports and is always ready to accompany students who will compete," said Umi.
