Lecturer at the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Sumatera Utara with the functional position of Lector in the field of Biostatistics and Epidemiology. He was on the national level expert team for assessing hospital efficiency using Barber Johnson charts around 2000 and on the national level expert team for HIV/AIDS programs until 2017. He actives in various research and collaboration with Japanese researchers and non-governmental organizations conducted research as the lead researcher with the title "Hospital Efficiency Using the Barber Johnson Graphic Method in the JKN Era in Medan City" and received the USU Talent Fund in 2019. Apart from working as a lecturer, he is also an entrepreneur for the export-import agro-industry product "Takengon Coffee," which has penetrated abroad.
