Research Profile
Lecturer at the Faculty of Public Health Universitas Sumatera Utara, Public Health Undergraduate Study Program, the field of study in Environmental Health and currently has a functional position as Associate Professor. Her research areas are related to environmental health, namely vector control, environmental toxicology, and mitigation of adaptation to environmental change. Research on vector control was carried out on Aedes aegypti mosquitoes to reduce cases of dengue fever, through the use of modified ovitraps in the form of chili solution and Ricinus communis (castor tree), which have been shown to be able to increase the free larvae rate up to 85%. Research on environmental toxicology, mitigation, and adaptation to environmental change that was carried out is research on water quality in several dug wells by residents in the Aceh area as a result of the tsunami and air quality research due to exposure to lead (Pb) that came from motor vehicles in Medan. Measurement of lead exposure was carried out in the air, rice plants, and soil that were suspected of being exposed to Pb that came from motor vehicle exhaust.
